Altea price could be right for car loans customers

 31/08/2007
Seat has announced the prices of its new Altea Freetrack models, reports Auto Express.

The magazine states that the Spanish car manufacturer will release an entry level model of the Altea for £20,495 which will offer 198bhp from its 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine.

It is expected that the Diesel TDi model will come with a £21,395 price tag and will give out 168bhp.

Full-time four-wheel drive, sliding rear seats and 40 mm extra ground clearance are available on both models and 490 litres of boot space and a picnic table means that the car could be a good option for car finance customers with a penchant for the outdoors.

The Top Gear website reported earlier this year that the Altea would be more economic giving 30.1 mpg on the TSI version and 41.5 mpg on the TDi model.

The site described the new car as basically "a lifted Altea XL with 4x4 capability and a load of plastic body bits".
